Scientific evidence clearly demands urgent action to cut the pollution that is warming our world. The earth is rapidly heating up thanks largely to greenhouse gas emissions, caused by the burning of fossil fuels in factories and cars. This project Shall We Make a Deal? SALE - 20% was launched on the 16 February 06 on the anniversary of the Kyoto deal.
Whilst it welcomes the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol it recognises we all have to do more. Finland is still at least 20% off its emissions targets.
Inspired by the ‘Sale’ supermarket board for small ads asking
‘Shall We Make a Deal? It asked people around the country to trade
their own thoughts and ideas about climate change using the ad cards.
The ad cards were not only put up on the boards but started creeping into other places to highlight that this is an issue that also requires action by individuals and not just governments.
This unconventional ‘exhibition’, which anyone could participate
in ran for 2 weeks from 16.2.06 the anniversary of the Kyoto deal.
